A successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, Edith Montoya has built Dance Precisions from a tiny drill team and baton twirling studio to one of the most elite dance competition studios in the world. Edith has been the Owner of Dance Precisions for the last 36 years. Her students have gone on to be finalists on hit television competition shows So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Got Talent, tour with Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift and choreograph and dance on Broadway. Under Edith’s leadership, Dance Precisions has netted an impressive number of competition wins, including: world champion in the teen division at the World Dance Championships and the Federation of Dance’s Top Studio Award, plus hundreds of choreography awards, best dancers and team honors. This past year the team took home several National titles and a Victory Cup for the highest scoring routine of the event. With her diplomatic approach to business, attention to detail, talent for hiring team-oriented teachers and dedication to her craft, Edith is a true inspiration to her students and staff.
Alexandra Bormeth is a contemporary ballet choreographer and educator based out of the Bay Area, California. Trained in Russian Vaganova method by Tamara Statkoun, her ballet foundation became her passion. As well as a figure skater, she achieved her Senior Gold in Moves in the Field. Bormeth danced principal roles from Copeilla, Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker and much more. Graduating with her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance Choreography from UCIrvine in 2019, she trained under Tong Wang, Lar Lubavitch (whom’s acclaimed repertoire, ‘Marimba’, she performed), as well as Loretta Livingston in choreography. Bormeth has had the opportunity to study under Vertigo Dance Company and Batsheva Dance Company in Israel; studying the ‘release’ & ‘Gaga’ techniques, she learned repertoire from Noa Wertheim, Gavriel Spitzeran, and Nitzan Lederman. As a choreographic artist, Bormeth pushes the boundaries of organic and visceral movement, such as her original production ‘Don’t Be Such a Flour.’ in October 2021. Today Bormeth works in dance education in the Orange County region, teaching ballet, repertoire, choreography and contemporary. Further she promotes students in competitions such as the Youth American Grande Prix with ballet variations and contemporary choreography.
Dance Precisions has been a second home to Ashlee since the age of 2. She trained at the studio with Edith being her first dance teacher, and was on The Company Team until she graduated at the age of 18. As she continued training at Dance Precisions, some of her accomplishments were being on America’s Got Talent with one of the competing groups, winning several National Titles, and she began choreographing for the Second Company team while in high school. After graduating from the studio, Ashlee attended Northern Arizona University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences - Public Health, as well as a minor in Business Administration. Alongside earning her degree, Ashlee continued training and competing as a member of NAU’s Dance Team. While on this team, she became a 4-time National Champion. Additionally, Ashlee was awarded Most Valuable Dancer each year on the team and her Senior year became the interim head coach. She currently has a full time job working for Beyond Fifteen Communications, Inc. where she has continued to learn, grow, and contribute her skills as Operations Administrator. Ashlee aspires to excel professionally to reach her dream job working in Hospital Administration. While doing so, Ashlee is continuing her forever love and passion for dance with Dance Precisions. After graduating and moving back home to Orange County, Ashlee has been back on staff teaching with us. She feels honored to have come full circle, now having the opportunity to help inspire these dancers as they grow in their passion.
Brooklynn Green, from Dallas, TX, has been surrounded by the dance world from a young age. Growing up in her grandmother's studio, The Dance Workshop, she was introduced to a diverse dance background that shaped her early career. Brooklynn honed her skills with Tremaine Performance Company and competed at Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center before advancing to collegiate dance as a 3x National Champion with the Dallas Baptist Patriettes. Brooklynn then relocated to Orange County, California, to pursue her professional dance career. She trained at The Space's Launch program and is an active performer with Reverb Tap Co. in Orange County. Brooklynn has trained under top dance professionals and assisted Laurie Johnson, Leah Silva, Noel Bajandas, Tiffany Maher, Krista Miller, and many others. Brooklynn has participated in major conventions and festivals, including RIFF and OC Tap Fest, where she also interned and taught. Achievements in Brooklynn's career include being a featured dancer in the film It's Christmas Again and performing in the televised LA County Holiday Celebration. With a teaching career that began at age 16, Brooklynn remains passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers through her teaching and choreography.
Katie Paulus is a recent graduate from Dance Precisions. She began dancing at the age of 5 on the competition stage. She started with Dance Precisions when she was 12. She participated in conventions and competitions, and saw success in her solos and group dances. Most notably, she was a Radix protege winner at several different Radix events. She has worked closely and assisted choreographers including Lonni Olson, Ashley Gonzalez, and Karame Adesko. Last year, she was apart of winning routines choreographed by Kirstin Russel and Easton Payne. Currently, Katie is pursuing a career in professional dance through the Launch Brea Space program. Here, she works with choreographers in the industry and dances beside working professionals. She has a strong passion for choreographing and teaching. She looks forward to her future teaching at Dance Precisions.
Raised in Suffolk, VA, I started dancing at age 14. I moved to CA after high school and got my BA in Dance at Cal State University Fullerton. Since then, I have been signed by Movement Talent Agency, performed at a few live shows with various artists, danced in a couple music videos, performed at several dance community events such as World of Dance, BodyRock, Club Jete, Carnival Choreographer’s ball, and more. I am currently the artistic director for Vixens Dance Company, and have been teaching dance to ages 3-18+ for about 10 years. I am trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop foundations, and heels. I have worked with choreographers such as Jonathan Sison, Cameron Lee, Tony Gonzales and more. My passion for dance knows no bounds!
Kelly has been a part of Dance Precisions for 10+ years. She has helped grow this studio in more ways than can ever be expressed. She has been a rock in our studio for many years and continues to work remotely from her new home in Arizona.
Conrad Montoya has been an active part of Dance Precisions since 2001. He was an IT specialist prior to joining Dance Precisions. Since becoming a part of Dance Precisions, Conrad and his wife Edith take pride in keeping Dance Precisions a family-owned and operated business for the past 36 years. Conrad is now known as Chef Conrad as he now operates the DP Cafe, keeping the kids fed and hydrated during breaks in classes. He is also involved in organizing our famous prop dads and has been active in assisting the various parent committees that help the studio function like a well oiled machine. Conrad’s role around the studio is key to the safe and friendly environment our families have come to know and greatly appreciate. Conrad is the guy who does it all – security, plant management, props, and making a mean grilled cheese sandwich. He is loved by all. He is pictured here, lifting his first prop.
Jesse Trinidad is the director of our Hip Hop program. He started dancing in 2007 with GRV dance crew, signed with MSA talent Agency in 2010, and has worked with many high school teams in Southern California, as well as Northern Arizona University, where he’s won 3 national titles. His credits include GRV, Nike, SONY PlayStation, Karmin, and Choreographers Carnival LA. Jesse is also the Founder of Global Mayhem a competitive youth hip hop team. Jesse is the ultimate girl dad to 3 daughters, and he can braid hair like no one else.
Hayley Gallian is an alumni of Dance Precisions. She started dancing at the age of four and has found her passion in sharing her love of dance with others. Hayley is trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet and hip-hop. While in high school, Hayley was a member of the international, award-winning Diamond Bar Song Team, being one of the only freshmen awarded Varsity Squad. Hayley attended California State University, Fullerton where she earned her B.A. in Communications. During her time at CSUF, Hayley was a member of the 15-time National Champion Dance Team. She was awarded Most Valuable Dancer and had two undefeated seasons in two years. Hayley Friend is presently a choreographer and instructor at Dance Precisions and loves that she can call DP her home.
At 22, Jalen Scales is an embodiment of cheerleading excellence and IT acumen. Hailing from Augusta, Georgia, he has dedicated 16 years to the sport of cheer, achieving milestones such as the 2019 L4 Small Senior Coed Finals victory at The D2 Summit and earning the title of Triple Crown Champion in 2021. As a fourth-year IT major at Westcliff University, Jalen balances his academic pursuits with his love for cheerleading, where he brings his dynamic energy and leadership to the team. When not flipping through the air or diving into the latest IT project, Jalen enjoys anime, gaming, and spending time with his beloved dog, Tokyo. Jalen’s journey is unique as an only child; his independent spirit shines through in his personal and professional life. His ambition extends beyond cheer and technology, aspiring to empower others through physical therapy and IT innovation.
Hello DP Families! My name is Jose Lopez and I will be the new Hip Hop teacher here at the studio! A little bit about me is i’m 19 years old and i’m a first year college student and an aspiring Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant! I am a huge nerd when it comes to Science and learning about the Human Physiology. I have been dancing since I was 4 years old down in South OC where I was born and raised! I am beyond grateful to be here at DP and am beyond excited to work with all the kiddos!
Allison Camacho was a part of Dance Precisions from 2013 - 2019. Proudly a Dance Precisions Alumni. She joined the Administrative/Front desk staff in August 2021, and has recently moved into a Project Manager postiion. Allison started her dance journey at the age of 4 and continued to dance for 15 years training in a variety of styles such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop. In her time as a dancer at Dance Precisions on The Company team she had the amazing opportunity to travel the world competing at national competitions, learn from the very instructors your dancers have today, and find a level of Independence and fondness for the dance studio atmosphere. The opportunity to join Dance Precisions as a member of staff was a great way to continue her love for dance and help those just beginning their dance journey.
Painting pictures with purpose while using a dancer’s body to tell a story, Karame Adesko has been choreographing since she was 15 years old. In her early years, Karame Adesko trained at Dance Precisions in lyrical, jazz, tap, and more. She then went on to receive her BFA in Dance from Point Park University, where her work was first presented on a more prestigious platform. Karame’s career truly began at 13, when she participated in Debbie Allen’s “Pepito’s Story,” and continued as she danced for Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and A.S.H. Contemporary Dance Company. Now living in Orange County, Karame is the Artistic Director and resident choreographer at Dance Precisions. Her choreography there has received over 30 choreography awards, including 1st Runner-Up at the World Dance Champions, and most recently, the Diamond Icon Award at Showbiz for her piece “Journey.” Other accolades include seven nominations and two wins with the Industry Dance Awards for “Hanging On” and “Beyonce.” She also received 2nd Runner-Up in 2014 and 4th Runner-Up in 2015 at UDA National Jazz Championships with the Northern Arizona University Dance Team. She is also a certified member of Dance Masters of America. Beyond being a successful dancer, Karame has also trained extremely successful dancers. Her students have gone on to dance for Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Carly Rae Jepsen. They have performed on Glee, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Bad Boys of Dance, and Dana Foglia Dance. Her students have also continued to pursue higher education in college Dance programs at University of California, Irvine, Loyola Marymount, University of California, Los Angeles, California State University, Fullerton, Chapman University, Northern Arizona University, University of Oregon, Arizona State University, Orange Coast College and Mt. San Antonio College. Karame continues to challenge her dancers to find their inner strength and freedom to push their dancing to a place they have never gone before. She motivates them to unlock their true selves while dancing to speak a truly amazing story of life’s greatest pleasure, ART!!
Serina Ortiz began her first season with the Varsity Pomline Program this year at South Hills High School. Serina has been dancing for over 20 years and is still in the industry as a professional dancer. On top of her dance career, Ms Serina is the director of the recreational program here at Dance Precisions. As a Dance Precisions alumni, Serina went on to be a member of Mount San Antonio College's dance team, where she won three jazz national titles and two hip hop national titles. While at Mt. SAC, Serina was also part of the Repertory Dance Company where she had the opportunity to perform at ACDFA. After graduating from Mt. SAC with an AA in Kinesiology and Wellness Serina moved on to continue her education at California State University of Dominguez Hills. There she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. Serina has also traveled the country with The National Dance Alliance teaching junior high, high school, and college students different styles featuring pom, jazz, hip hop, and even kick line. Lastly, Serina is the assistant director and technique trainer to the well-renowned heels company, the Vixens.
Stephanie Beavor is a graduate from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in Health Science, as well as an Associate of Science degree in ultrasound from Orange Coast College. She currently works at Long Beach Memorial Hospital pursuing a career in ultrasound, while simultaneously fulfilling her passion for teaching dance at Dance Precisions. Stephanie’s love for dance has brought her many years of competition since she was five years old. She was on Canyon High School’s Dance Choreography team for all four years. She also was a member of the CSUF’s national championship dance team from 2006-2009. In addition, she was a member of the 1st Company Competition team at Dance Precisions for 10 years. This past year was a big year for the Beavor family. November 2021 Stephanie became a mom to James, formally know as “baby James” to all the kids at the studio. Stephanie has been teaching at Dance Precisions for 19 years now.
Starting her training at her mother’s dance studio at the age of 2 years old, Miss Lexis trained and competed in jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, lyrical, pom, acrobatics, and cheer! Miss Lexis Started competing in dance at the age of 5 and was a member of the award winning Talent Factory Showstoppers, PACE All-Stars, and Chino Hills High Spiritleaders. Miss Lexis has always knew she wanted to teach dance, and has been sharing her love of dance for over 10 years now!
Natalie Windawi was a part of Dance Precisions from 2013-2020, Graduating as a DP Alumni in 2020. Natalie Windawi attended the University of San Diego where she was a part of the USD Dance Team for 3 years and continued her Passion for dance by teaching at Elementary kids in San Diego. Natalie Windawi graduated from the University of San Diego in 2024 with BA in Architecture with minors in Theater and Film, and is currently working as an Interior Designer.
Hi! My name is Nicollette Combre. I am a hardworking multicultural creative who believes and promotes the benefits of all art forms on your mental and physical well being. As a child, I found solace in creative outlets and felt compelled to pursue them further in order to help others. During my time at Cal State Long Beach I immersed myself into higher education through the fields of journalism, public relations, and dance in an academic setting. Meanwhile, I have also been able to continue educating myself on nutrition and dietetics at Long Beach City College. Over the years, I have honed my skills and became proficient in several dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz and improvisation. My experience ranges from injury prevention, choreography, writing, podcasting, concert and show production, costume design, graphic design, marketing and fundraising through courseworks and internships with companies such as American Ballet Theatre, The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, and Millennium Dance Complex, amongst others. While teaching, my mission is to create an arts, health, and wellness center and organization.I aim to combine my love for dance and writing with my passion for health and wellness in order to create an accessible, unique and beneficial environment for people of all ages.
